I'm now on Flickr.com

If anybody still looks at this blog, thanks! I've just recently joined Flickr and JPG Magazine online. Stop by and check them out if you get the chance. If you're on Flickr or JPGMag, let me know, we can be contacts!

These are three long exposures I captured of my step-father's Royal typewriter:

Renovations Complete.

My new website is up and running. I kept it simple and to the point this time. No fancy flash shenanigans, just plain 'ol HTML. Check it out if you have the chance! I will still keep this blog as a work-in-progress site, but all finished projects will be on the site when they are... well... finished!

Cyborg Marionette Head

Here is the rough cutout of the marionette's head. Notice the extra large brain forming on the top.

Cyborg Marionette

These are pieces of the current project I am working on, a 'cyborg' marionette. It will be about 25-29 inches tall in the end. The part I'm really excited about is it will have light-up eyes! whoo-hoo. Also, there will be a wooden brain encased in a jar.

I actually won't be using these feet on this puppet. I'm going to make him boots instead. Wouldn't want anybody walking around barefoot in space, now would we?!

Photo Retouching...

Here is another retouched photograph. It is somebody from my Grandmother's side of the family. Location somewhere near Pungo Virginia, I believe.

The Black Box Project

Between February and July of 2006, I was involved in a pre-production studio called The Black Box Project. The other members were Eduardo Lino Costa, Daniel Krall, and Brian Mead. My contribution was the construction of a Flash-based website with an introduction animation. Daniel Krall created the drawings, I guided the design and executed the animations. Jerohme Spye created the music and sound effects. It took about 1.5 months to finish. The gallery section does not actually have any images. Here is an archived version, since the actual site no longer exists:

Blocky Monsters and Decapitated Block Heads

Ink Wash Town

I just found this ink wash drawing from about two years ago. It's really just a sketch, but I remember having a lot of fun working on this.

Photo Retouching

This is a photograph of my great grandfather on my Mom's side. I retouched it in Photoshop. It still could use some work, but the main damage is gone. Magic!

Beastly Tank

Here is my second Google Sketchup piece. It is directly from a drawing I made once (bottom of post).

Google Sketchup Robot Heads

I just downloaded Google Sketchup yesterday evening and fiddled around with it. I was doodling some images of blocks and robots before I made this. I'll try and get them scanned too.

Excavation

Here is an ink drawing I made during summer 2005. I was actually in Germany when I made this. (which has no correlation, just an excuse to say I've been to Germany!).

Ink Drawing, "Excavation"

Slimehead

Here is a drawing that I was planning on turning into a screenprint, but time constraints have forced me to make it into a digital print. Here is the drawing and the color mockup. I will have a finished version sometime soon! You can click on the images for slightly larger resolutions.

Cylinder Brains

Here is an animation that I made about two years ago. I drew it with a pencil on 8x10 computer paper and it's about 154 frames.

Images!

Here are some random images from the somewhat recent past:

Intaglio Print, "The Eyes Have It"

Linoleum Block Print, "How It Used To Be"

Ink Drawing, "Robot Punch"

The First Post

Hello to whoever may be viewing this. This is just a test post until I figure a few things out. Here is a recent screenprint of mine, titled 'Red-Eye Flight'. It was just a quick one that I made to make sure i could still print, since I hadn't printed in about three years.
